Which would have been Michaels 30th Birthday.
With bittersweet tears, Happy Birthday Mike!
The Angels are all
laughing,
Twinkling eyes under glorious brown hair,
The days are filled with jokes & pranks,
Now that Michael's there.
The angels all are
cheering,
The Chevys have won their share,
The Ford fans are certainly few-
Now that Michael's there.
The angels all are
dancing,
Not a quiet spot anywhere,
The heavens rock with country music-
Now that Michael's there.
The angels all are
working,
They all have toolbelts to wear,
They're even asking for carpenter tools-
Now that Michael's there.
The angels all are
singing,
"Welcome to Heaven" fills the air,
The celebration is in Heaven above-
Now that Michael's there.
The Sibling Prayer
Beneath the amber glow,
Of the newly rising sun,
Or standing on the hillside,
When the day is nearly done.
Riding down the highway,
When my day is at end,
Or sitting on a park bench,
Talking to a friend --
No matter where I am in
life,
No matter what my task,
Please give me peace of mind,
Dear Lord,
That is all I ask.
And when those haunting
memories,
Of the night he passed away,
Come rushing in my broken heart,
Please do not delay.
Remind me that he is in
A far, far better place,
And grant me a glimpse of his hazel eyes,
And sweet handsome face.
Please grant me reassurance
That we'll someday meet again.
In Heaven's bright tomorrow.
In your name I pray,
Amen
Lord, in his
Wisdom,
Took you up to his Kingdom,
Where there is no sorrow
or pain.
But we hope some day,
By the Grace of God,
We'll all be together again!
I know you & Jacob wait
for me at Heaven's Gate-
My heart aches for you both!
You may be gone from my sight,
but will be forever held in my heart.
Your so dearly missed & lovingly remembered Mike!
Please help Mom, Dillon, Brittany & Greta thru this, their darkest hour,
They love & miss you terribly.
I know you will do all in your power,
I love you Michael!
Your Sister for all Eternity,
Michelle
"Those who are
remembered,
Never die..."
Song: "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey & Boyx 2 Men
Lyrics: Sorry I never
told you... all I wanted to say...And now it's too late to hold you.. cuz you've flown
away...So far away. Never... had I imagined...living without your smile.
Feeling, knowing you hear me, it keeps me alive...alive. And I know your shining
down on me from Heaven,...like so many friends we've lost along the way. And... I
know eventually...we'll be together... One Sweet Day. I never showed you, assummed
you'd always be there. I took your prescense for granted, But I always cared, and I
miss the love we shared. Althought the sun would never shine, I 'll always look to a
brighter day. Lord, I know when I lay me down to sleep, you will always listen as I
pray. And I know your shining down on me from Heaven,...like so many friends we've
lost along the way. And... I know eventually...we'll be together... One Sweet Day.
Sorry I never told you.....All I wanted to say.
ORGAN DONATION = SAVING LIVES!
Yes, I'm going to
get on my soap box and preach alittle,
I'd rather think of it as educating rather than preaching though!
Before my brother passed away, I must admit,
I was not an organ donor...the thought of it made my stomach quesy
Having witnessing first hand the difference my brother made in the
lives of so many others, who would have died...had it not been for
my brothers wonderful gift of life to them.....not to mention all
the people who would have died , and the people
he helped who suffered from burns, kidney failure,
blindness..etc, etc, etc (the list goes on and on!!!) My goal in
mentioning organ donation is this.....there are many myths or
fears when it comes to donating ones organs....
I hope to change some of your view thru my families
experience with LIFELINK of Georgia...
Not everyone can donate..even if they want too....
but the first step
is checking that little box on your drivers liscense!
1. There is
no pain felt during organ recovery...your loved one does not suffer
since all brain activity has stopped & the CNS has ceased to function it is
physically impossible to feel pain.
2. The surgery is done under sterile conditions in a hospital operating room,
the body is treated with respect & revererence
3. The body is not disfigrued when the organs or tissue are removed.
4. Organ donation /or tissue does not interfere with an open-casket funeral.
5. Funeral arrangements are not delayed due to organ donation
6. One person saying yes to organ donation...can possibly save 8 lives.
organs such as the heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas & lungs.
7. Tissue, such as bone & ligaments, can be be implanted to improve
the quality of life for up to 40 people!
8. Everyone involved...recipients and organ donor & families remain
anonymous,
eveyrones privacy is protected, contact between the 2 families can be made
thru the organ donor coordinator (eg: Lifelink)
*** On a personal
note: I just wanted to say how hard a decision this was for our family, because we
too didn't understand organ donation before this heartbreaking tragedy , but in the
end, after recieving all the recipient letters, from people who would have DIED had it not been for my brother.
I know that Michael enabled us to give the most precious gift of all ....the gift of Life!
I know the Lord guided my Mother in this decision!***
